Description
Vesticam2 Infrared Video Goggles – Binocular
Vesticam’s vestibular IR video goggles (Video Frenzel goggles) support clinicians to get to the root cause of dizziness, vertigo and other vestibular problems.
The eye is a window to your patient’s vestibular system. Vestibular clinicians, specialists, and emergency physicians need to observe and interpret small, fleeting eye movements to accurately diagnose and manage vestibular and balance conditions. But even with thorough training and ideal conditions, observations can be difficult.
Vesticam2 is an infra-red video eye-movement recording system. The system provides a clear recording of eye movements, with and without fixation. Clinicians can observe real time and also review transient eye movements during standard vestibular oculomotor tests.
Portable, lightweight and able to be used with most android smartphones, laptops and computers, Vesticam2 was designed with your clinical needs and patients in mind. The result is a system that works simply and seamlessly in a clinical setting to enhance your diagnostic capabilities.

FAQ
1. Do I need monocular or binocular IR Video Goggles?
Both monocular (one camera) and binocular (two cameras) units enable you to record eye movement during 15 different bedside vestibular tests, including Emory Clinical Vestibular Chair test.
The primary difference between the two units is that binocular goggles allow you to view disconjugate eye movement. For some clinicians this may not be critical, but it can be valuable advanced vestibular clinicians, and for those working in areas such as neurology or traumatic brain injury.
Note that when testing with binocular goggles, a computer must be used to record eye movement. This allows viewing of both eyes and a room camera, but makes them less compact and versatile than monocular goggles which can be used with smartphone, tablet or computer.
Vesticam2 IR video goggles come standard as monocular units. An extra camera unit and leads can be purchased separately to allow for binocular viewing. Once set up for binocular, you can easily unclip one camera unit to use as monocular.
2. Does Vesticam2 have an internal fixation light?
Yes! Press the button at the end of the joy-stick to switch the internal fixation light on and off. The goggles must be attached to a recording device for the fixation light to work.
3. Can I swap the camera to record either eye?
Yes! Camera units can be switched from one eye to the other in seconds. The simple twist and lock mechanism prevents any image slippage. The eye cover can be removed and swapped in the same way.
4. What tests can I use Vesticam2 goggles for?
Vesticam2 IR goggles make it possible to use tests that are sensitive, specific and have a low vulnerability to bias. Vesticam2 supports 15 clinically and academically accepted vestibular tests. Click here for a full list.
Adding a second camera enables you to use Vesticam2 as a binocular unit to view disconjugate eye movement.
Vesticam units cannot be used for Test of Skew or Convergence testing.
5. Does Vesticam2 fit the faces of small children as well as adults?
Yes! Vesticam2 has a robust but flexible goggle mounting plate that has been designed to fit young and old, and broad and small faces. The ability to slide the camera through 22mm range combined with the patented Vesticam joystick add even more flexibility and comfort for your patients.
6. Can patients use Vesticam2 with a face mask in place?
Yes! Because the Vesticam2 Video Goggles keep the patient’s nose free, they remain completely light tight, even if the patient is wearing a face mask.
7. What’s included with Vesticam2?
